I am a 36 year old artist who was been overweight since around 1999. Between a highly supportive wife, a certain T.V. game show dedicated to helping people change and lose weight, and from being sick of missing out on all life has to offer I have decided to do something about it.

I look at it like this, there are enough bad things out there that can kill us so why should I help it along by stuffing my face with garbage and sitting on my fat butt and wait for death? Not only have I started exercising but my eating has totally changed. I am not a doctor or psychologist so I am not here to tell you what to do. I am here to post pictures of me and my journey and hopefully be an inspiration to you.
I started this Journey January 5th, 2010 and have already dropped close to 20 lbs and am working on it everyday. I think that's the biggest thing that has registered with me is the fact this is not something you do in a few weeks by cutting calories, taking a pill, or drinking some shake. It took a while to put it on and it's going to take a while to take it off.
My goal weight is 170 by this coming Christmas which I believe is a obtainable and realistic goal.
My current tools are "The Biggest Loser 30-day jump start" and The Biggest Loser Simple Swaps".
(No, I am not endorsing these products, I am just telling you what I am using.)
Exercise is currently a combination of wii fit with the 3 inch step by everlast, walking approx. 3 miles a day.
I know this is still only the beginning and am looking forward to more intensity and adding weights as I build my strength.
I thank you for your time and hope you will follow me on my journey and not only be a inspiration to me but that I can be an inspiration to you as well.

You are speaking for many who want to loose a little or a lot. Being public and regular about your progress (setbacks?) may be just the trick.
Routing for you and your new life.
Thank you!
